From personalized adjustments to comprehensive care, we’re here to help you reclaim your mobility, boost your energy, and rediscover the joy of fall activities without the burden of back pain holding you back.

In addition to our services, these simple tips can help keep your back happy this autumn:

  • Warm Up Before Chores: Stretch before raking leaves or lifting pumpkins to prevent muscle strain. Since there is a chill in the air, you can benefit from dressing in layers to avoid overheating and moving your body before diving right into your yard cleanup.
  • Mind Your Posture: Stay mindful when sitting at festivals or working at a desk to avoid slouching. Are you headed to a harvest festival or a hayride?  Be aware of walking on ground that may be uneven.  Watch as you step up or down to make sure you can support your body movement to avoid injury.
  • Stay Active: Incorporate walking or yoga to keep your spine flexible and strong.  Complimentary movement that focuses on stretching can help just about any body.  If you haven’t practiced yoga before, talk to the studio first to make sure you choose a class that is right for you.  If a classroom isn’t your thing, check out an app or a video.  There are a ton of great options out there!
  • Wear Supportive Shoes: Choose footwear that reduces stress on your back during hikes or long days out. If you know you have a lot of standing ahead of you, or if you are taking a walk on a trail with uneven terrain, you’ll benefit from investing in a pair of good outdoor hiking boots or trail running shoes.  These shoes typically have sturdier tread to handle any kind of outdoor adventure.  Your feet can carry you through a lot, so it is important to outfit them appropriately.
  • Schedule Regular Adjustments: Consistent chiropractic care prevents small issues from becoming major problems.  Consider your body like you would your vehicle.  You wouldn’t put off getting your car’s oil changed or maintaining the right air pressure in your tires, right?  Scheduling preventative adjustments can keep you in touch with your body to avoid pain and future problems.

Fall is a great time to start a healthy back routine.  The kids have returned to school, and regular activities will keep you busy and occupied.  Taking time to create habits that benefit your body sets a great example for your kids and family members.  We’re here for you!
